    In both Japan and America, tattoos are associated with crime.

    In japan, the tattoos associated with the crime are full body tattoos, while in america they can be anywhere from small to large tattoos.

    In japan, the artists are trying to make their art socially acceptable by exposing it to people in public settings,while in america, the artists are trying to improve safety standards to improve their reputation in hopes to draw more people in.
