I don’t agree because some people who do not read well can still read and be successful. I already try on the STAR reading test just because I want to do well.

I think that’s is uncaused for because just because you can’t read on the right grade level at the time of testing doesn’t mean that your’re going to end up in jail.

I think what the artical is saying is stupid a little bit cause basically what they saying is if you read below your grade level then you are automatically going to jail. And thats stupid to me

I do not agree with that because people who can’t read can become wealthy in society most of the time. This does make want to do well on the test but before this I already know I will do well on the STAR test.
Ok so the question ask what we think about statistic saying if you dont read you will result to violence and end up in jail well that’s not true because its some smart successful people in jail and some of the dumbest can amount to being successful.

I don’t think Someones reading level will determine if they will go to prison. This makes me not want to take the star test.

It surprised me that their is such a strong correlation between test scores and prison. I guess it does not really surprise me as much as the government using these test scores to determine the amount of cells to build in the future. Once you read the argument however, it is logical, sad, but logical.
I disagree because most people are succeful without reading like as in a football player. That person only may know how play ball instead read.
I think that where your logic is wrong Sam is that you said MOST people when it is very few people. There is a .03% chance of playing pro sports.
– I believe that someone does have to be able to read to become successful because if you want a good paying job then your going to have to know how to read and there is a slim chance you will become a basketball star, rapper, singer, etc.

It surprises me how the strong statistic tells my furture based on other reading scores. More prisons are made based of people with low reading scores. Just because someone doesnt know how to read doesn’t mean they’re going to go down the wrong path. It should help them want to say I need to read more to be more successful and get money the legal way not worrying about anything. I strongly disagree with statistic.
I don’t agree because you can still play sports with out a education and you can be successful in miny thing that you won’t to do in life like playing football,basketball, baseball or boxing and other different sports you like to do.

I don’t think that it is fair to judge the incoming population size or how big the jail should be based on test scores. I say that because some people are just not good test takers in general, and beyond that some people could have just had an off day that day.

Continue to try on the Star test. I take all tests seriously, it’s just seems like the right thing to do.
